Lamnalco provides tug escort and ship assist to oil tanker operations that account for 14% of the world’s total crude oil trade annually. We have so far provided towage and escort services to LNG carriers on almost two thousand separate occasions without incident – that’s the successful delivery of over 120 million tonnes of LNG, helping to improve our customers’ safety and commercial performance.
The health and safety of our personnel and protection of the environment is a priority and we make extensive use of full mission bridge simulators; on board training and assessment before project start-up to enable a first class service from day one. Integrated tug master/pilot training prepares our people for routine operations as well as emergency response preparedness.
Q1 2007 will see the installation of our own state of the art compact tug manoeuvring simulator, for the exclusive use of our customers, to further enhance our service. |
