Definitions of Key indicators
Days Away From Work Case (DAFW): Injury occurring in the work place resulting in employee being unable to carry out normal duties on following shift (except for delays for medical treatment ashore).
Restricted Work Case (RWC):
Injury resulting in person being unable to perform all normally assigned tasks but can remain at work in a reduced capacity.
Medical Treatment Case (MTC): The management and care of a person to combat disease or disorder that requires other than “first-aid” treatment
First Aid Case (FAC): Minor injuries that require simple, one off first aid (using non-prescription medication at non-prescription strength).
Lamnalco also operates a “Near Miss” reporting scheme and sets targets for the submission of near miss cards. A positive trend in near miss reporting provides evidence of the health of the company’s strong safety culture. It also encourages the ownership and personal responsibility for safety awareness that represents a core company value.
