It is the policy of Lamnalco Group to conduct all activities in such a manner as to:

• Provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and sub-contractors and undertake to ensure their work will not adversely affect the health or safety of others or cause damage to the environment.
• Identify the risk to health and safety involved with its business activities and observe the necessary precautions to minimise or, wherever possible, eliminate these risks.
• Provide all employees with the necessary information, equipment, training and procedures for them to undertake their work safely and to the highest standard, thus encouraging awareness of, and participation in, the task being performed.
• Engender within employees an awareness of the fragility of the environment in which we operate and to afford proper regard to its protection and conservation.

The Group recognises that alcohol or other substance abuse by employees will have a serious adverse effect on the general health and welfare of the individual, their ability to perform safely and efficiently and as a consequence will affect the safety and reputation of our operations, together with the operations of our customers, and will eventually impact on their families.

Lamnalco’s drug and alcohol abuse policy recognises these risks and establishes measures to deal with it, including counselling where appropriate.

We firmly believe that all injuries are preventable and that a “SAFE” environment is a “HEALTHY” environment. Together with our customers, suppliers and contractors we are committed to actively promoting the highest standards of safety consciousness and discipline on all Lamnalco vessels and within all shore-based operations.
